Service Description

Learn how to create art in a range of media and look at the work of linked contemporary artists. All the different media will link to an art movements every week. 4 Week course; 3 hours per week, Wednesday evenings. The range of example Contemporary Artists are: Week 1 - Artist: David Hockney, Landscapes. Tile painting/glass paints Week 2 - Artist: Sophie Calle, Self portraiture-photography, watercolour and ink Week 3 - Artist: Toulouse Lautrec, Posters of city life Lino cut Week 4 - Either completing work/catching up on missed weeks or pick n mix artist Materials and methods offered include drawing, painting and mixed media. The classes are kept to a maximum of 8, providing a relaxed learning environment. All materials, use of tools and equipment, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
