Learn how to create art in a range of media and look at the work of linked contemporary artists. All the different media will link to an artist every week. 12 Week course; 3 hours per week, Monday evenings. Week 1: Still life – Vessels, in oil pastels Week 2: Still life - Botanical drawing in watercolour pencils Week 3: Portraits using Collage Week 4: Impressionism, Gardens in acrylics Week 5: Landscape in Oil pastel Week 6: Stylised landscape in coloured pencil Week 7: Water & Bubbles graphite drawing Week 8: Sun scapes in watercolours Week 9: Clouds in Soft pastel/charcoal Week 10: Trees & Woods in Acrylics Week 11: Natural forms with Clay Week 12 Final piece of own choice Materials and methods offered include drawing, painting and mixed media. The classes are kept to a maximum of 8, providing a relaxed learning environment. All materials, use of tools and equipment, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
